My initial idea for the video was to get into the Ortokoy House, the house Taut built, existing in Istanbul, and shoot a video of a dancer interacting with the space. After numerous tryouts and a long negotiation failed, I created a virtual space using a model of the Ortokoy House and green-screen animation, and asked the dancer to move, imagining the space.
In the work, the house acts as a moving box, visiting many significant places, works, and ideas in Taut’s life.
